Lite Haul

The self-service side of FleetXchange. You post the load, verified transporters bid, you choose. Everything happens in the app — booking, tracking, payment and proof of delivery.

What it is

A marketplace, not a middleman

Lite Haul connects you directly with transporters who own bakkies, vans and small trucks. FleetXchange runs the platform — the verification, the tracking, the payment rails and the dispute cover — but the deal is between you and the transporter you pick. That keeps it fast and keeps the price honest.

What you can move

Furniture and appliances, building material, retail and wholesale stock, pallets, parcels, machinery and equipment, farm produce, office moves — anything that fits a bakkie, van, closed body or small truck.

How far it goes

Around town or between towns. Gaborone to Mogoditshane is Lite Haul. So is Gaborone to Francistown. Once you are into full truckloads or crossing a border, that is Heavy Haul.

Who it is for

Households moving, retailers restocking, contractors on site, small businesses without their own vehicle, and anyone who currently phones around looking for a truck.

Step by step

From your phone to their door

Post the load

Open the app and describe what you are moving: cargo type, rough weight, pickup address, drop-off address and when you need it. Add photos — a transporter who can see the load prices it more accurately.

Verified transporters bid

Transporters who are online and suitable for your load see it and send you a price. You are not waiting on one quote from one company.

Compare and accept

Each bid shows the price, the vehicle and the transporter's rating from previous trips. Accept the one that works for you.

Watch it move

Follow the vehicle on the map and get a notification at each stage — driver on the way to pickup, at pickup, loading, in transit, delivered.

Pay and confirm

Pay by card in the app, or cash to the driver on delivery. The trip closes once delivery is confirmed, and both sides can rate each other.

Posting a load is free. You only pay for the trip you accept. If none of the bids suit you, do not accept any of them.

Payment

Card in the app, or cash on delivery

Card payments are processed securely through the platform — Visa, Mastercard and American Express. If you would rather pay the driver directly, cash on delivery is available too. Transporters see their earnings credited to a FleetXchange wallet once the load is completed, and withdraw from there.

For clients

Choose card or cash when you accept the bid. Card payments give you a record of the transaction against the load, which matters if anything is ever queried.

For transporters

Card trips are credited straight to your wallet with the commission already accounted for. Cash trips leave the commission owing against your wallet, which is settled from later earnings.
